Guiding Eyes for the Blind Appoints Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations & Strategic Partnerships

Guiding Eyes for the Blind, known around the globe as one of the foremost guide dog schools, has promoted Lewisboro resident Linda Press to Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations & Strategic Partnerships. Press has been a Guiding Eyes team member since 2002.

Linda Press has cultivated a number of important relationships for Guiding Eyes over the years, some of which include the Starr Foundation, NYSE Euronext Foundation, Reader’s Digest Partners for Sight Foundation and many other prominent local and national funders. She recently forged a unique partnership with Mission Continues, a US military veteran’s organization. Press also works extensively with Westchester-based companies and business associations.

“I am thrilled to continue sharing my passion for our organization’s vital work with corporations and foundations across the country and right here in our backyard,” said Press. “I look forward to pursuing other effective collaborations in both the public and private sector.”

In her new expanded role, Press will lead a team involving outside partners, staff and volunteers to promote Guiding Eyes’ mission both locally and nationwide. Under her leadership, the team will identify, cultivate and solicit relationships that will maximize engagement, volunteerism, revenue and multi-year partnerships for the organization.

"Linda is an invaluable member of our team and has been instrumental to our continued success," said Sue Dishart, Guiding Eyes’ Vice President for Marketing and Development. "Her extensive expertise in corporate and foundation relations makes her the ideal person to lead our new initiative to expand strategic partnerships."

Press currently chairs the Westchester County Housing Opportunity Commission and is member of several municipal committees. She also serves on the board of the Friends of the Trailside Nature Museum and Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.
