Mount Vernon Democratic Party is a Disgrace
On the night of May 14th, I
witnessed the
Mount Vernon City
Democratic
Comedy Club
in action with their selection of candidates for political
offices here in
Mount Vernon.
The most telling thing about this comedy
special is, at the beginning of the proceedings, a list of
recommended candidates were handed out to all who were
present at the headquarters and at the end of this ruse all
of these candidates were magically selected.
The second most telling thing in this comic
show is that the names of the two most independent voices
currently in city government: Maureen Walker,
Comptroller
and Yuhanna Edwards,
City Councilman were not on the recommended
list of candidates and they were not selected. The puppet
masters and their power brokers instead selected a young man
who was recently elected to the City Council compliment a
ride on the Obama coat-tail. This poor sacrificial lamb
became a substitute for the comptroller candidacy after the
candidate who was being groomed to run against Maureen
Walker, the infamous John Boykin, was unwittingly taped by
Sammy Rivers. Three new council members and William
Randolph were selected for the Council seats.
When a reside of the Southside of Mount
Vernon noted that none of these selected candidates for the
Council resides on the Southside of Mount Vernon, one of the
prime geniuses behind this
comedy of errors
responded that there is one Mount Vernon. At that point, I
informed this all knowing individual that the residents of
the Southside of Mount Vernon have a totally different
experience that any other area in Mount Vernon. Our sleep
cannot in anyway be peaceful due to continuous gunshot
noises. We live in a continuous state of fear and the
puppeteers in this magic show, on their own and without any
input from us, the people who continuously live this
nightmarish hell, have the audacity to speak for us and
purport to make decisions to address these problems.
The mere fact that the Mount Vernon City
Democratic Comedy Club would select an entire slate of
candidate with none being a resident of the Southside of
Mount Vernon to serve as our representative speaks volumes.
Just recently, I read in the local paper that there is an
organization offering bribe money of $30,000.00 for members
of one particular ethnic group to relocate to Fleetwood, the
Northside of Mount Vernon. Are we noticing a pattern here?
Residents of Mount Vernon, we cannot permit
this “wholesale” of Mount Vernon to continue. Because you
are a democrat does not mean that you must vote for the
people that are selected by the
Democratic Party.
You must understand that the Democratic Party is controlled
by people and it is those people who set the agenda in
selecting their particular comedians. They select
candidates that they know are going to do what they order
them to do or else. These candidates must represent the
interest of the greedy power brokers and puppet masters who
are currently running this comedy show. You do not need me
to tell you that the puppet masters and power brokers
interest conflict with the interest of the people of Mount
Vernon. Take a good look around you and realize what is
happening. We voted for change and we got change from bad
to worst. Do you want to continue this slippery slope down
into the abyss? None of us thought that things could have
been any worst than they were under the Davis Administration
but, guess what, they are worst.

We can no longer sit back and be silent. We
must speak out loudly against this comedy of errors. The
best way you can speak out is by refusing to sign petitions
for any individual that was selected by this Democratic
Comedy Club. Some of these people appear to be very nice
people. I don’t have anything against them personally.
They may be good people but, good people too can be used by
individuals with bad intentions. To ensure that these
people are not placed in a position where they will have to
repay political favors and also to return integrity, honesty
and a true sense of community service to our community, do
not elect any of these selected candidates. If you vote for
these candidates, you will be strengthening the corruption
and empowering the political puppeteers and their power
brokers. We must purge Mount Vernon from any perception of
corruption.
Please join me in electing those candidates
that have the people’s interest at heart. Mount Vernon has
serious issues that must be addressed. This administration
has shown us that they lack direction and solutions to our
problems. We cannot continue to blindly give our support to
them. We must put all personal issues aside at this time
and put
Mount Vernon first.
We must come together as one loud and thunderous voice and
elect candidates that have independent voices and courage to
speak out against injustices. History has taught us some
very serious and horrendous lessons in human destruction
when good people remain silent. Let us not repeat the
mistakes of the past. Let us become involved by registering
to vote, signing petitions of those individuals who have not
been selected by the Democratic Comedy Club only,
volunteering to help to elect these community minded
individuals and elect only these individuals to the
positions for which they are running. Mount Vernon this one
is on us. If we mess it up, we have no one to blame but,
ourselves!
