The Child Care Council of Westchester is pleased to announce

long before first grade and has long-lasting effects.

Katherine Magnuson and Jane Waldfogel on the long-term
effects of
early childhood programs on adult
earnings, the report found that early reading and math
skills increase earning potential in adults between $10,634
- $21,270 annually. The Book Drive will collect books
depicting diverse ages, abilities and cultures, for children
ages birth to 15 that will be donated to Westchester
programs serving
children in need.

ABOUT THE WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD

celebration sponsored by the
National Association for the Education
of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest
early childhood education association
with over 100,000 members and a network of nearly 300 local,
